A fun week learning about the dance of hip hop! Take two parts hip hop, one part modern dance, one part Martial arts, and one part ballet… mix it all in a blender and shake it up in the summer heat… throw it on a stage and make a STUNNING dance piece incorporating all these different genres of dance. Shoot for the Stars, Inc. is proud to present the 2016 Back to Basics Boys & Girls Summer Basketball Camp at Benjamin Franklin High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The summer camp will be held in two one-week sessions designed to engage inner-city youth (ages of 8-18) by teaching, mentoring and coaching students to not only become solid athletes, but to help them develop into successful, productive human beings.
FREE KIDS GUN SAFETY CLASS - Norwalk, OH
********CLASS IS NOW FULL*********** Parents please stay with your children for this event. Bring lawn chairs to relax in. We have found that this is a great learning experience for parents and children alike. We are working with the local law enforcement community to have officers, equipment and K9's available for demonstration. Children will be shooting .22 and 9mm pistols as well as .22 rifles. An instructor will be with the children to assist in holding. Please confirm in the discussion thread if you are coming. We will need to limit this class to 60 children. Donations of cash or ammo will be accepted at the registration table but are not mandatory for attendance. All donations go to future children's classes. Thanks!!

By being involved with several hands-on activities your child will explore the basic scientific ideas that play a role in everyday life. Campers will also learn how the scientific method helps give us the answers to our many questions. Well be very busy in this camp while exploring projects and experiments in topics such as chemistry, physics, engineering, biology, and MORE! Animals have amazing adaptations to help them survive and thrive. Investigate these features through examining the shapes and power of fish, shark, and dolphin fins, the flying abilities of birds, the diverse abilities of animal legs and paws, and the power of claws. Take part in an animal adaptation auction, dissect a crab, and use microscopes to make new adaptation discoveries. Includes: microscopes, 1 boat trip, & snorkeling 860-535-9362
SCENE STUDY (1.5 Hours) FRI - Loudoun Arts Center
Using scenes from some of the leading voices in contemporary theatre, students will learn how to approach performing in 2-3 person scenes. Studies will include dramaturgical research, scoring the script, scene coaching, and in-class performances with feedback. This course requires approximately 3 hours of rehearsal with an assigned scene partner(s) prior to each class. Scene Study culminates in a final performance. 703-444-5888
