Science Beach Camp Week 2 - Roundhouse Aquarium
Time: 9am-12pm Ages: 4-10 **pick up and drop off will be on 11th St and Manhattan Ave, near Beckers. Summer Stretch Yoga Camp: Beach Theme - Marine Park Building
Weekly Theme: Beach Balance like a palm tree, roar like a lion, and stretch like a giraffe in this fun-filled yoga camp! Camp begins with a 40 minute class where students learn new poses and breathing techniques each day on an imaginary yoga adventure. Class ends by relaxing with peaceful music. After class, the excitement continues with yoga stories and games, a break for lunch, and a creative take-home art activity. Art projects are yoga themed and will relate to the poses learned that day. Fun activities throughout the week include parachute games, treasure hunts, outdoor craft time, face painting, and more! Yoga has been shown to improve focus, confidence, and coordination in children. Please bring a snack, lunch, and water. Outdoor Venture Camp - Aug 1-5 - Norwich Venture Center
(11-13) Explore the outdoors through hands on nature activities and fun filled outdoor recreation. Your childs week will be split between nature activities like wilderness survival classes, orienteering, GPS skills, and other nature lessons AND outdoor recreation like hiking, caving, water sports (canoeing, kayaking and stand up paddleboarding) and indoor rock climbing. 420 Race Team M-F ($670 for 4 weeks, Members) - Nantucket Yacht Club
Please select a minimum of four weeks. The 420 Race Team is the most advanced program for junior sailors. Sailors are taught the fundamentals of sailboat racing, including but not limited to boat speed, boat handling, strategy and tactics, and team racing. Training as a team is strongly stressed. The team is reserved for those sailors who want to really improve their racing skills, and are selected by the race team coaches.
