Our camp registration is now open! Join us for a potluck picnic and register! Cool Skates Child of Volunteer (COV) - DC8 - Balboa Campus
CHILDREN OF VOLUNTEERS RATE Spin, glide, wiggle and swizzle! Each morning, take a bus from Balboa Campus to the San Diego Ice Skating Rink for a half-hour lesson and two hours of free skating time. Learn to play hockey if it interests you (also open to COV boys age 5-17). In the afternoon, return to camp for more activities, crafts, badge work and fun with friends. Learn seamanship and the fundamentals of sailing small sailboats for beginner students. Topics include parts of the sailboat, sailing terminology, sail trim, safety and steering.
