This annual event was created by Leroy Johnson former defensive back for the "University of Southern Mississippi" Our staff is made up of former NFL and Division I athletes. Campers bring snacks, lunch and beverage. Lunchtime supervision provided. Director: Kerry Winkelseth, UM School of Kinesiology. Full Day, Monday-Friday. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Curbside Pick-up and Drop-off. Staff will pick up campers from your car at 8:00 AM and deliver back to your car at 4:00 PM. KidSport offers children the opportunity to learn and refine non-competitive sport-specific, team building and social skills. Campers will peel back the layers and discover how these complex organs work: learn about disease, how our body fights back, the role of mucus; and digestion, from spit to…. well, you get the idea. They will uncover how the brain works through their own personal webcam, investigate the impact of food, exercise and sleep; and discover how bones and muscles are like cookies and pancakes. They will perform hands-on experiments as they learn about body temperature and fevers, take blood pressures, bandage wounds, and create herbal medicines. Campers will use a microscope, test for germs, map their organs, build a set of teeth, brain and virus models, AND take home their own MD kit. Summer Recreation Camp - (Week 5) Week 5: Stratham Rec?s Got Talent Ready, set, action! We are excited for a fun week at camp filled with a variety of activities that will showcase our talents. We will be dancing, acting, and more! To celebrate the end of camp and share our many talents, we will hike to Stratham Hill Park for our annual camp talent show on Friday. All families are invited to attend! Each day is designed a little different to offer campers with daily choices, physical exercise, and craft activities to ignite creativity, social and group development, nature and each week includes three special activities/events.
