Young Physician - Goleta Presbyterian Church
Make NO bones about it; this camp is for the aspiring "Young Physician". If your child enjoys checking out the cool gadgets and models in the Pediatricians office, sign them up! Campers learn that their bodies are miles of blood vessels, hundreds of muscles, many thousands of hairs, a furnace, a filter, AND a fancy computer! They perform hands-on experiments as they learn about brains, taste buds, blood, muscles and bones, check heart rates and listen to their lungs with their very own stethoscope. Campers will extract DNA and learn about genetics, test for germs, build spinal column, ear drum and lung models. Whether youre a seasoned pro or new to the stage, if you love to sing, dance or act, this class is for you! Students will get a chance to hone their singing, dancing and acting abilities. Through the study of musical theatre, vocal/movement/acting technique, and a variety of fun games and activities, we will work our way through the process of putting on a show. In addition to improving performance skills, students will gain self-confidence and enhance their public speaking abilities. These unprecedented clinics will be held at Augustana College - Carver Center for Physical Education on Sunday, May 15th. Pure Sweat Skills Clinic give players the opportunity to work with certified Pure Sweat Skills Coach, Jordan Delp, as well as experience drills and techniques that Pure Sweat Founder, Drew Hanlen, uses with his college and NBA clients on a daily basis. The Pure Sweat Performance (formerly Cutting Edge Performance) led by Alan Stein, founder of Stronger Team, the Head Performance Coach for the internationally renowned DeMatha Catholic High School basketball program and lead Performance Coach for the Nike Basketball Academy, focuses on improving basketball athleticism. The clinic addresses warm-up, movement preparation, mobility, core strength, explosiveness, quickness, agility and reaction. Visual Arts Camp - Wolverine Camps
Wolverine Camps is a great setting for the inspired eye to capture beauty and create memorable pieces of art. Campers will demonstrate creative expression, learn advanced skills, techniques, and in-depth use of materials, vocabulary, and the principles of design. Students of all artistic levels can develop their creative techniques in this week long camp. Tuition includes all meals, lodging, instruction, art materials and camp t-shirt.
