LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Sam Michaels Day Camp - Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Commission
Spend your summer vacation with us! Sam Michaels Day Camp offers 1 field trip per week, water day of Friday w/ inflatable water slide and weekly themed crafts and activities. T-shirt is included in camp price. Camp hours are 7:30am-5:30pm. Cost for camp is $125 per week (4th of July week is $100).Full payment is due at time of registration. Parent or guardian MUST complete a camp registration form as well a health form for each child they are registering. STATE LICENSING DISCLAIMER: Due to state law regulations we are required to limit the number of days a child is allowed to attend summer day camps, or any camp lasting more than 6 hours. Children may only attend these camps for 30 days during the summer (consecutive or non-consecutive). ADDITIONAL CAMP INFORMATION: Lunch: Campers will need to bring their own lunch and beverage to camp every day. Refrigeration is not available. Small coolers or ice packs are recommended. Dress: Children are encouraged to dress comfortably in shorts and t-shirt/camp shirt. Closed toe shoes are highly recommended. Camp T-shirts are required to be worn on field trips days. Since the Dallas Harvest Festival has been cancelled, we have moved our annual Craft Fair fundraiser to that Saturday, (Sept. 19th) cause folks like YOU will be looking for something else to do. Additionally we will be expanding to include a Flea Market! Come shop at the Craft Fair for gifts, home decor, handcrafted jewelry, wood crafts, and more. This year's event includes a flea market, bake sale, and a chili cook-off. The Snackshop will be open with some delicious lunch & dinner specials including our famous APPLE DUMPLINGS!-Get 'em while they last! Proceeds will benefit students attending Student Life Camp and/or the Fall Leadership Retreat.

Come buy some sweet treats and learn more about speech and hearing. 100% of the proceeds go to The Starkey Hearing Foundation. $100 dollars can provide a set of hearing aids for an individual who could not afford it otherwise. For it is a time to celebrate all of what makes Gleann Abhann’s heart beat, its traditions, its legacy, its people! Join all of Gleann Abhann as the Shire of Pilgrims Fount hosts the 2016 Fall Coronation at Camp Formosa near Clinton Arkansas on September 30th -October 2nd. Over the next couple of months we will be showcasing what some of the sights and features that we make this a coronation one to never forget! For more information on the event or for pay pal reservations please see the Kingdom event website for details! This event is a must for all in Gleann Abhann! Long live Gleann Abhann, Long live the SCA!

A one-day clinic offered either June 27 or June 28. Each participant will receive training specifically focused on the skills needed for their position. Players will be grouped by position for elite technique instruction. Maximum 20 players per court. 9188104066.0
Minecraft Modding - British International School of Charlotte
NOT for beginners, must be VERY experienced with Minecraft. For veteran gamers, this camp will explore the dynamic world of Minecraft modding and learn new strategies to assist your survival and creativity. Utilize Redstone to increase creativity, and learn file editing, cyber security, and safe internet browsing techniques. Campers will implement some of the most popular Minecraft mods including Biomes OPlenty, Decocraft, Twilight Forest, Optifine, Pixelmon, as well as mods of the campers choice! This camp will be enhanced with a special multi-player map that will pit teams against each other in a race to the end! All campers ARE REQUIRED to have a Minecraft™ account for this class. Purchase a standard account and desktop version of Minecraft™ ($26.95) at minecraft.net/store.
