Youth Camping Retreat (Times to be announced) - Orlando, FL
February 19-20 (Times to be announced) In addition to having an awesome time getting to hang out with the youth group, we will be getting to hang out with youth ministry families as well. We will have food, games, and times of Bible study. Our Bible study will be centered on the roles of students, parents, and youth pastor in the development of students as disciples of Jesus. If you are a non-camper, you are still welcome to come hang out and fellowship. Day visiters will be subject to regular park admission fees: $3 per vehicle for 1-2 people and $5 per vehicle for 3-8 people. Further details coming...
Annual Camping & Kid Fish Event in the Park - W.m. Brook Park
The annual camping and kid fish event will be held on June 5-6, 2015 at W. M. Brook Park. Registration will be held on Friday, June 5th at 6pm followed by a hot dog supper, movie in the park (The Goonies) , and campfire fun. Participants can then go camping or fishing. Kid fishing will occur through Saturday, June 6th until 12pm. Awards and presentations will be given out from 12-1pm. For more information, contact Micky Tower at 512-734-1076.
Teen Father-Daughter Outdoor Adventure - Columbus, OH
6th – 12th Grade Girl Scouts and the male adult of their choice are invited to come share an Outdoor Adventure hosted by the Girl Scouts Rocky Fork Service Unit Come and hang out with other Girl Scouts and their dads. Show off your outdoor survival and cooking skills. Don’t have outdoor skills? Come and learn some! Cost is $10 per person. Sign up by October 9th, 2016. Questions? Email Roxanne at [email protected]

Long Tail Knits will be hosting a summer camp for students looking to learn to knit or crochet. This will be held at the store June 13 through June 17 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. You will learn the basics in knit/crochet. Your choice. The cost of the camp will be $25.00 per day or $125.00 for the week. If you pay for the entire week ahead of time, you will receive a 10% discount. This does not include the cost of materials. We will be offering beginner patterns for those who are just starting out and for those who have some of the basics down, we will have intermediate beginner projects for learning other techniques and stitches. Recommended age is 10 and up. If you have any questions, please let me know by posting in the comments and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Students will be incorporating literature into art projects. Various art media are explored, including pencil, crayon, marker, colored pencil, chalk, stencils, collage, watercolor, tempera, color mixing, and printmaking. 206-957-1533
3D Modeling & Printing: Cedar Way - Cedar Way Elementary
Working collaboratively in pairs, students will discover how to build objects in 3D suitable for 3D printing, utilizing the online platform, TinkerCad. Smart with Art educators will teach students to work with 3D design elements, learn about creating art in perspective, all while exploring practical applications of 3D technology. We will challenge their spatial skills with ocean themed, art-related activities. Students will be able to create a personalized 3D model to print and take home at the end of class. Horsback riding is for one day only, during this time frame. The girls will be shuttled to Horsin Around where they will receive basic instruction on horse care and then a short ride on a horse compatible with their horse riding capability.
