Prepared to be challenged by the likes of Shakespeare, Mamet and other influential playwrights in our Advanced Drama Class. This class will delve into the techniques used by famous teachers such as Stanislavsky, Chekov and Boal, to truly hone their skills in bringing characters to life on the stage. Please contact Jay Goodlett to confirm that you have the required training to participate. The last class of the session will be a performance class. Parents/Guardians are invited to attend. Kid's Day Camp (Mom's Day Out!) - Searcy, AR
You may drop children off for a 1/2 day or full day camp experience. Morning camp will consist of an acrylic 16 X 20 painting winter scene along with a hands-on activity. For the afternoon session, children will start with another hands-on craft with a smaller canvas painting. Children may be dropped off at 9:00 a.m. and picked up by 11:45 a.m. or drop off at 12:30 p.m. and picked up at 3:00 p.m. If you opt for full day (9:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m.), your child(ren) will get to participate in both morning and afternoon activities. The cost for the day camp for 1/2 day is $35 for the full day will be $70. If staying the entire day, we will provide sausage, pepperoni, or cheese pizza with a drink, or you may bring your own sack lunch.

Haven Place Youth Camp (July 31 thru Aug. 7). 7th-12th graders will be staying at Haven Place. Only $30.00 per person 8 days 7 nights. Registreation due by July 2oth. Last year we had 28 attend. Boys will be in tents outside with the adults on watch and the Ladies will be inside with the adult Ladies. They will be mentored by College age students who will be volunteering their time during the mission week. There will be at least four other key adults to chaperone this event. The week will consist of quiet time with the Lord, learning team building skills, sacrificial service to the community and learning to use their God given talents. There will be a praise and worship band, speaker and fun activities planned during the week. Each student will be going to various work sites. Each work site may have different projects, such as light construction, painting, clean up, landscaping, etc....In the afternoons students will be leading a community kids camp which will located at Haven Place. Another summer comes around, and another week of magic filled learning is upon us! Join the Professors, Molly Bocian and Abigail Nelson for a week centered on the first four books and movies in the Harry Potter universe. Aside from learning in depth about the magical world by J.K.Rowling, students will learn how to work in small teams--Houses--and hone their crafting, obstacle course skills, acting, and creative minds. Summer Stretch Yoga Camp: 4th of July Theme - Marine Park Building
Weekly Theme: 4th of July Balance like a palm tree, roar like a lion, and stretch like a giraffe in this fun-filled yoga camp! Camp begins with a 40 minute class where students learn new poses and breathing techniques each day on an imaginary yoga adventure. Class ends by relaxing with peaceful music. After class, the excitement continues with yoga stories and games, a break for lunch, and a creative take-home art activity. Art projects are yoga themed and will relate to the poses learned that day. Fun activities throughout the week include parachute games, treasure hunts, outdoor craft time, face painting, and more! Yoga has been shown to improve focus, confidence, and coordination in children. Please bring a snack, lunch, and water. POTTERY ON THE WHEEL - Walker-MacKenzie Studio - Gertrude Herbert
Instructor: Twila Brock Beginning and advanced beginner students will have the opportunity to continue developing their skills in the various approaches to throwing functional ware on the wheel under the guidance of Twila Brock who specializes in this area. Instruction will be focused on basic techniques. Forms will be thrown, altered, and assembled to create various vessels. Projects will be tailored to the students skill level. Glazing techniques will also be addressed. Students must provide a clean towel each week. Explore the world of erupting volcanoes, sparkling rocks and minerals, traveling sediments, gigantic earth movements and crazy prehistoric animal fossils. Mornings will feature fun nature education and the afternoons are full of nature related recreation. End the week preparing a classic "stone soup" with ingredients you choose, plus our extra special soup stone! Morning and afternoon snacks are provided.
