Kids will learn about the rain forest through art & literature this week! They will draw & paint toucans, tree frogs, mandrills, exotic plants of the jungle, & many other aspects of the rain forest. Campers will enjoy using their creativity to create rain forest animals from clay each day. Please bring to camp: Large shoe or boot box for fired clay pieces (write name on box), old shirt to wear during camp Each day: Drink & snack to enjoy during 15 minute break About our Summer Camp! Campers will experience 3 hours of creative opportunities each day. They will learn & practice basic skills such as drawing with pencil, markers, charcoal, oil & chalk pastels. Students will learn color mixing & painting with artist paintbrushes while using watercolors & acrylic paints. Every day, students will get their hands into clay while they learn handbuilding techniques such as pinch, coil & slab. All clay projects will be fired & will be ready 2-3 weeks after camp. Session 2 - Skills Camp - Day Camp Only - Florida Southern College
This camp is geared to the individual who is seeking to gain experience and knowledge from top coaches relating to the fundamental skills of volleyball including serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking, and individual defense. At the beginning of camp, all campers will be evaluated and placed into groups of similar ability. Beginners and experienced players are encouraged to attend. (Ages 6-18) 863-680-4474
Summer Camp Juniper Jedis - Skyliner Lodge
Wildheart Juniper Jedis know how to tap into the invisible web of interconnectedness and travel through the woods without being noticed. Students will learn the art of silently stalking animals and people. In addition, they will practice listening closely to the Earth Force. Camouflage is essential for all Juniper Jedis and we will spend a good deal of our time practicing this skill of becoming invisible. Each participant will leave the camp with a complete camouflage kit, which will enable them to quickly blend in to their surroundings, no matter what the situation. Additionally, students will develop their ability to understand the language of the birds, giving them a birds-eye-view of their surroundings and informing them what their prey is up to, as well as any nearby predators. All of this and well still have time to play and enjoy ourselves as every Juniper Jedi knows how to have a good time! The West Fargo Park District is offering a summer youth volleyball camp for boys and girls ages 8-12. Participants will be taught fundamental skills such as serving, hitting, passing, blocking and setting. Participants need to wear athletic shoes and appropriate clothing. All participants will receive a T-shirt. Instructors will be local college volleyball players. It is recommended that participants bring water bottles with them each day. Our Performing Resident Camps are the top place to be selected for ATAVUS All-Star teams for both 7s and 15s competition opportunities. The camp will end with matches between teams hand selected by the camp coaches to not only allow athletes to implement what they have just learned into live play but to further throw their hand up for additional selections.
