Camp Grow weaves nature, activities, and games into the beauty of a public garden. A day at Camp Grow can include gardening, nature activities, hikes, art, storytelling, crafts, games, music, and much more! Camp is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Campers bring their own snack/lunches/beverages each day. The camp fee for DRAGONFLIES is $300 for residents of NOVA Parks jurisdictions (cities of Fairfax, Alexandria, Falls Church, and counties of Fairfax, Loudoun, and Arlington) and $350 for nonresidents. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dragonflies are campers who will enter grades two, three, and four in the Fall. For over 35 years, Summer Stuff Day Camps has been nurturing the growth and development of young children on Chicagos North Shore. Located in Evanston and Wilmette, our summer camps provide a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, which encourage campers to engage, explore and discover. 773-981-3442
Step into Sewing C (ages 6+) M-F 10am -1pm THEME TBD - Meadowlark Community Church
Step Into Sewing (Audrey Oberman) This project-based 3 hour camp-day (x5 days) will start with the basics so no experience is needed! Campers will work at their own individual pace and may choose from several smaller projects like a needle book and pincushion and then work on a larger project throughout the week, or a mixture of both! They will learn how to thread machines, sew straight seams and iron them, as well as some different techniques for finishing seams, and how to add closures (snaps, buttons, zippers, ties) to projects. More experienced campers may choose to learn how to cut from a pattern and make a simple garment such as pajama shorts. During all weeks...New children: will work on the basics and pick special projects and team up with the experts. Returning children: will be able to continue with what they heave learned, re-make favorites. NEED: labeled water bottle, snack, lunch and shopping bag to hold projects. Helpful if camper has own NAME-LABELED sewing machine, sewing box, but not required. Ikea has a great machine for $60 if you are looking to invest in one before or after camp. 7604029969.0

Enlist into the ranks of pirate science. Consider sediment densities to determine optimal treasure burial, become a pirate cartographer while making your own treasure map, experiment with eye dominance to determine eye patch orientation, design a boat to withstand the high seas, and go geocaching to find buried treasure Take a short sailing trip on a 23 foot Sonar to look into wind generation for guaranteed quick getaways. Includes: geocaching, sailing, 1 boat trip & snorkeling 860-535-9362
