SUMMER CAMP WEEK #5 - The REALM
Week 5: Dare to…EXPERIMENT Just as the name implies, this week will be filled with outrageous experiments, slime of all sorts and a wee bit of silliness as we delve into the wacky world of science. Campers will put their lab coats on as they bust myths and create minor explosions... Robotics: Design & Performance / Game Design - Hazen High School
Explore the world of robotics using the new LEGO® Mindstorms EV3® line. Learn how to build and program robots by designing simpler versions of real world robots. Youll create a bot patterned after Starwood Hotels robot butler, which can be programmed to deliver objects to guests. Youll make an animatronic creature which senses people and says hello to them. Youll also make a line-following bot and one which moves along like an inchworm. Plus, well spend a morning working in teams to build and program robots to complete missions similar to those in First LEGO® League (FLL) competitions! Create your own scrolling adventure game using Stencyl®, one of the newest and best ways to create games for a computer or mobile device. You will select or design characters, give them properties and behaviors for movement and interactivity, use built-in physics, customize the backgrounds and levels, add sound and scoring, and so much more. When youre done, youll have your own unique game, ready to play at home (on Windows) or upload to Stencyls online game library for others to play. Kidcreate Studio: Glow in the Dark Art Camp - 3060 Patton Road
These projects will ROCK your childs world after the lights go out at night. You guessed it, all the projects we create in this camp will glow-in-the-dark! How cool is that? We will be working with a variety of different art supplies including clay, paint and other luminescent materials to create masterpieces your child will be ready to show off in the dark! Week 6 5 Half Days PM ASCS Summer All Sports Camp - All Saints Catholic School
For Boys and Girls grades K-6. We are very excited about our location for the Summer!! This camp offers a combination of traditional sports games like floor hockey, soccer, basketball, flag football, handball, wiffleball, physical education activities such as tag games, pinball, battleship, virtual space tag, north south, gold rush, capture the football, and various cooperative games. We ask that our full day campers bring a (peanut butter free) snack and lunch and water bottle, and our half day campers bring a peanut butter free snack and water bottle. Children are divided by age into small groups and will participate in developmentally appropriate activities for their groups.
