LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Creative Dramatics - KidsOnStage - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
NO CLASS ON FEBRUARY 13. This class is designed for 3rd-5th grade students. Using their natural abilities and imaginations, students will learn how to create their stage characters through theatre games, teamwork, problem solving; and, at the same time develop students confidence. Class includes an introduction to onstage and backstage needs for a show. A final production, April 1-2, will be presented on the main stage. INSTRUCTOR KATHY DILLABER is a JMU graduate, B.A. Communication Arts & Educational Certification, plus graduate studies. Post college, she performed at Tecumseh, Ohio; ‘Land of Oz, N. C.; Busch Gardens, Williamsburg; and local theatres. Since 2013, she participates annually in the Broadway Teachers Workshop, NYC, working with Broadways top artists onstage and backstage. Workshops explored the theatre craft as it pertains to school and community productions. Other experiences include a techie backstage and a theatre instructor where she has directed numerous childrens productions. Her professional education, theatre positions, and years of ballet training (Cecchetti method) are constant resources for classes. 7036835778 x2

Students learn to design and code mobile game Apps using Stencyl, a complete game development platform that features a powerful (Scratch-like) drag-and-drop and authoring environment. The Elephants Child - The Georgetown Palace Theatre
Children the whole world round have delighted to the telling and re-telling of Rudyard Kiplings beloved story of how the Elephants child got his trunk. This charming musical adaptation perserves much of Kiplings clever text with its fascinating word rhythms and oral imagery, while five original songs capture the mystery and humor of Elephants childs exciting adventure down the "Great Grey-Green Greasy limpopo River". Costumes, dance, and wonderful dialogue mixed with the these great songs will give our youngest actors a spectacular time creating a mini-musical for family and friends while learning how to work as a team. PREP Girls Volleyball Camp - Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School
Prep volleyball players will work with Head Coach and Team Indiana Co-Owner Brian Murray to learn player positional skill sets and game strategies as they build in-game intelligence needed to gain an edge in any game. Prep players will also have the opportunity to work on individual drills and practice those skills in challenging scrimmages. This weeks welders will work in the spirit of Claes Oldenburg, an American artist made famous for creating giant public art pieces of oversized everyday objects: a giant eraser, a tube of lip stick, a hand saw. Our popular 6 day/5 night traditional camp experience in our main camp. Campers will participate in a variety of camp activities such as swimming, canoeing, high ropes, rappelling, and zip line among other things.
