The cost is $60/week per child aged 3-10 and we will have a pizza party for the kids on the last day. We will provide a light snack and drink during the sessions. Hear the thumping of the drum call you to Senegal, West Africa and the amazing dance and drum traditions of Africa. Learn the energetic movements, lively songs, and drumming rhythms of traditional African ballet. Design costumes and jewelry in the African tradition. Emphasis will be on teaching desirable keyboarding techniques, mastery of the keyboard and development of speed and accuracy. We will also practice how to apply keyboarding skills in real life situations: Typing and formatting in Word, creating word art in Wordle, and putting together a simple PowerPoint presentation. We will tour the keyboard and learn about lesser known keys like the tilde and carat on a keyboard treasure hunt! Returning students can continue to build their speed, while new students can lay the foundation for great typing success.
