Teen Celtic Camp - Boulder Creek, CA
Ages 13-18, $640 early bird registration. Spend all day playing music in the redwoods, and have a great time singing, dancing, watching Song of the Sea in the meadow, sessioning and improv-ing every night! Before dinner in the late afternoon the pool is open as well as the volleyball court, ping pong table, basket ball and tether ball. Program includes all meals and boarding. Bring bedding, clothes (including swimsuit and jacket), towel, toiletries, bug repellant, sunscreen, your instrument, and music stand. Costumes may be useful, as well as other fun things for the pool and ceilidh as long as they are safe and legal. Theme: Celtic Luau? The Little Sluggers (Ages 5-6) is designed to introduce your child to the game of baseball. Fairy Tales Through a Microscope - The Evergreen School
Fairy tales do not require fairies… interesting! In this class, students will be examining fairy tales. Where did the term fairy tales come from? When did fairy tales begin? Some fairy tales explored this week include The Three Little Pigs, Jack and the Beanstalk, and The Frog Prince. The original versions will read and discussed. We will take a look at todays childrens literature and how fairy tales have changed through the years… often in funny ways. We will explore different versions of tales from different cultures.
