Summer Camp - Half Day Morning - Week 9 - Mockingbird Baby
Morning: Robo Roller Derby The speed of a race, the competition of a battle, and the pressure of the clock… its a Robo-Roller Derby rumble! Lego robots take on a new set of hurdles as they duke it out on the track. Race the stop-watch and each other to be the first to complete all your laps without being torn apart in the challenge. Foul play is fair game in Robo-Roller Derby. Note: Even though between some weekly sessions there might appear the same program names, in our actual education program, we will have different depth of technology and engineering principles to be applied by our children under our inspirational guidance... Playmakers Acting Camp - Clague Middle School
Playmakers Acting Camp Grades 2-5 Lets put on a play! Working professional actors and directors lead this all-day camp that teaches campers the core skills of acting: voice and diction, theatre games, improvisation, rehearsing, and performing! Tons of movement, singing, play-based theatre games, rhythm, and rehearsal get campers up and at em, all while building confidence, and exploring creative ways to use their imaginations, voices, and motion. Campers take pride in writing their very own play, and presenting it at weeks end, giving everyone a chance to shine like a star! Campers bring their own lunch, snack and beverage. 1 week. 9 am-4 pm Instructors: Becky Fox and Carla Milarch Becky Fox is the Director of Education at Ann Arbors professional playwrights theatre, Theatre Nova. She was the Director of Education at Performance Network Theatre from 1991 - 2014 and has directed and produced over 50 childrens theater shows. Game Making- Middle School - Eureka Workshop
There are so many games to play! Some involve stories while others numbers or letters, but all present a challenge. On screen and off campers will analyze what makes a good game, explore all the moving parts, and create their own game.
