Fencing captures the imagination of kids of all ages, but it requires a trained, experienced instructor to learn safely and correctly. The Young Scholars Fencing Program is being run by the coaches of the Central PA Fencing Association. Coach Wes Glon, the Head Coach of the PSU Fencing Team personally trains and hires the coaches for this program. Coach Chuck has 40 years of fencing experience and has been part of the CPFA programs since 2006. Your child will learn the basics of sabre fencing with an emphasis on sportsmanship, safety and history. We make the learning experience fun and rewarding for the students. /GOALS: Month 1: - Fencing History: Olympic sport since the first Olympics in 1896, difference between Saber, Epee & Foil, French sport - Safety rules (fencing is one of the safest sport) - Basic footwork: advance (movement forward), retreat (movement backward) & lunge (movement to reach) focusing on the balance - Description of the Saber, parts of the weapon, how to hold it. - Footwork, coordination games Month 2: - Introduction to the gear: glove, mask, jacket & saber - Target area: 3 different area to cut: mask, flank & chest - How to cut using... 8142379727.0

The Futsal Kingz camp is a great way to help your child improve their technical ball skills and level of play. Players will learn new skills & tricks every day from our professional coaching staff and have a great experience, whether theyre the next Ronaldo or trying Futsal for the first time! Futsal is a fun, fast-paced 5v5 soccer game, played indoors within the lines of a basketball court (no walls), using a small, size 3, low-bounce ball.
