Advocacy Training for Pennsylvania Youth Recovery Campaign - Philadelp
The Pennsylvania Youth Recovery Campaign and The Bridgeway School would like to formally announce that legislation is officially being sponsored in both the House of Representative (Rep. John Taylor –[R] Philadelphia) and the Senate (Sen. Pat Browne -[R] Pennsylvania) to promote recovery high schools in Pennsylvania. When enacted, this bill will create an alternate class of school designated Recovery High School. These schools will be suited to address the educational and recovery support needs of high school age/eligible youth dealing with substance use disorders in Pennsylvania. These schools will ensure that students receive the tools necessary to retain long term recovery, achieve academic greatness, and promote family inclusion, support, and overall wellness through education and recovery. We need your help to raise awareness for, and champion this cause on behalf of all Pennsylvania Youth. Please also join us for an Advocacy Training event on February 25th and 7pm at The Bridgeway School. Through this training we will equip all supporters and stakeholders with the knowledge and tools to advocate in support of this vital legislation. Summer Camp Reunion Weekend - Paige, TX
We just love seeing our campers and their families return to the village in February and March to enjoy Sherwood Forest Faire, and obviously a great part of that is when campers encounter each other! This year, for the first time, we would like to have an official "Reunion" for our Youth Campers and Adult Campers alike to help facilitate that. Both events (which will be separate, because we don't want the Adult Campers teaching the younger ones bad habits) will take place during weekend #2, Feb 20-21. Mark your calendar! Jump into 3-D game design using the visual programming tool Kodu to design and mold terrain, set camera angles, adjust lighting, populate objects, and program behaviors. Combine these skills to create an original platform for racing or storytelling within a 3-D world. NOTE: THIS PROGRAM RUNS MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY FOR A HALF DAY. FRIDAYS ARE FIELD TRIP DAYS AND ARE THEREFORE FULL DAYS. UNLESS THE CAMP DIRECTOR GIVES YOU AN EARLIER ARRIVAL TIME, PLAN TO DROP OFF YOUR CHILD AT 9:00 AM ON FRIDAYS.
