Spring is here! London Town boasts eight acres of decorative gardens, filled with exotic and local plants of all sorts. Now that the flowers are blooming and the sun is shining, come on out with your children to explore the world of botany. Prep players will gain court-confidence from an intensive physical study of the fundamentals of the game of basketball under the guidance of Boys Head Coach Todd Howard and his staff. Prep players will bring their game to a new level: from drills in dribbling to shooting, to games and strategy exercises, players will gain the keys to success on the court. Head Boys Basketball Coach Todd Howard has just completed his second season at Brebeuf. The kids need something to do for spring break—and Connolly Ranch has a camp full of activities designed to keep them engaged in the outdoors. During our week, the children will take care of the farm animals including the new spring lambs and baby chicks, get creative with arts and crafts, learn about our honeybees and other pollinators, cook with local ingredients, build natural shelters, learn about seed starting in the greenhouse, get their hands dirty in the garden and of course hike and explore the nature trails in Westwood Hills park. The week begins with simple programming until it builds by the end where students will be able to create the game of pong in Java. No programming experience is necessary but doing common tasks on a computer is useful. Who knows, maybe you have the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs living in your house and you never knew it!
