Teen Sewing Boot Camp - Edmonds, WA
Is your teen bored already? Sign him/her up for our week long beginning sewing boot camp running Monday through Friday, July 19 through 22 from 10 am to 2 pm daily. They will learn basic hand sewing techniques by hand making their own pin cushion and then graduate to sewing a pillowcase, pajama pants a skirt and other cool stuff., including getting to participate in a community project. You will need to bring your own sewing machine if you have one, and basic sewing supplies. A list of fabrics and notions will be sent to you once you have registered. Cost is $100. This camp is open to children ages 7 to 12. Students will explore the key elements of both long and short form improvisation. The children will play numerous improv games which will serve to develop and enhance their public-speaking, social, and team-building skills. This camp will be conducted in a non-judgmental environment where the students will build confidence, make friends, and most importantly… have fun. Snacks will be provided on a daily basis and there will be a pizza-party for lunch on Friday. The camp concludes on Saturday with all students performing in a graduation show on the stage of the Push Comedy Theater. Each student will receive a Push Comedy Theater T-shirt and be eligible to perform in the 5th Annual Norfolk Comedy Festival in late September 2016. We will have 3 sessions throughout the summer. Session1: July 11th - 15th, 9:30am to noon Session 2: August 1st - 5th, 9:30 to noon Session 3: August 22nd - 26th, 9:30 to noon These are all beginner level sessions, no experience is necessary. Tution is $200 for new students (includes a t-shirt), $190 for returning students.

School of Rock - Ohlook Performing Arts Center
The brand new musical - which opened this season on Broadway - follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school and ends up turning his class into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. SCHOOL OF ROCK is produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber, who composed 14 songs to create the score, which also features all of the original songs from the movie. Ohlook has been granted a special license to perform this show while it is still performing on Broadway! Come join us and add a Regional Premiere to your resume! Performances: April 15 - May 1 Rehearsal Schedule will be set after auditions. You must audition during our Spring Auditions (Jan. 22, 23, or 24) to be considered for this show. The Michigan Golf program offers outstanding instructional opportunities for golfers entering grades 6 through 12 who are interested in improving their game at the University of Michigan. The coaches of the Michigan Golf Team will teach the fundamentals of short game, give person full-swing instruction, and address on-course strategies. Students will participate in skill contests and have the opportunity to learn on course strategies at our on- site, Alister Mackenzie golf course. We will also utilize V1 golf video instructions, Trackman Radar System, and each camper will receive a personalized report with a coaches evaluation and a game plan for continued improvement. 734-604-5506

Gizmos & Gadgets will give both sides of your childs brain a really fun workout when we take BIG and MESSY and ART, combine it with DESIGN and PROTOTYPE and TEST and add a dash of EXPLODING SCIENCE and then wrap it all up with an awesome BATTLE of the CANDY MACHINES. In this creative and educational camp we will immerse the kids in those projects you would never dare attempt at your house (the messier, the better is our motto!). We will let them think big and expose them to all dimensions of Science, Art and Engineering all in one fun camp. Each day the kids will use the systems engineering process to define, design, prototype and test amazing builds. During the week the kids will build their own candy ( or anything!) dispenser! This is no cardboard dispenser – this is the real deal! Kids will make their dispenser out of wood by creating their own design. They will hammer, saw, drill or however they want to put it together, that really drops out candy (or anything cool like marbles!)
