Butch's Sunday School Class is collecting spare change to send a pre-teen from First Baptist Church of Deweyville, TX (a suburb of Houston) that was devestated by the flooding last week to Highland Lakes Camp this summer. Normally the church raises funds by having fundraisers but as you can see...they will have to devote all their time to restoring the church. Chapel Hill's youth have attended this camp several times in the past with great spiritual success.

Put me in coach...Im ready to play! This camp will focus on baseball fundamentals and techniques from hitting, fielding, and throwing to base running and more. Camp will be conducted rain or shine. Parents will be provided with information on how to handle rain days on the first day of camp. Supplies: Campers should bring their own bat and glove, and a plenty of water each day. All campers should arrive at camp with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen, as needed. We recommend campers use sunscreen with a SPF of at least 30. The Seattle Prep, Varsity Football coaching staff is hosting an 11 day football camp for all returning JV or Varsity players, as well as any 10th-12th grade students interested in joining our football family. This Camp is a 3 (Three) Day Buckaroo Fall Break Day Camp. Camp begins each day at 9:00 EST and ends at 4:00 pm in the afternoon. Campers will be assigned a horse to ride and to care for. In the larger enrollment classes, campers share assigned horses. Activities that the campers will be involved with are... Riding Lessons (generally twice a day, weather permitting) Grooming, Stall Care & Management, Equine Characteristics, Arts and Crafts and Horse Husbandry including some Horse Health and Welfare. Plus, making friends or renewing relationships with new and returning campers alike. Campers have the option to purchase and challenge the test for a CHA riding level. Campers receive the appropriate CHA Riding Level Book. Successful campers are awarded the appropriate Certificate, Patch and Pin.
