Period 3 - Elementary Fitness Camp - NBJH Room 231
Students will be introduced to, and explore a wide variety of exercises that are challenging yet fun! Consisting of multiple stations where students engage in exploratory learning using weights, jump ropes, exercise balls, medicine balls, fitness bands, multiple I-pad fitness applications, kettle bells, speed ladders, and much more! Robert Caro, journalist and theater lover, once said. Join us for Theater Camp as we explore what it takes to originate and develop characters. Beginning with acting fundamentals, students will learn the vocabulary used in the theater world, and take classes on monologues, scene work, pantomime, improvisation and more. ELITE LAX CAMP - JUNE 1 - 4 2015 REGISTER EARLY : All registrations received by February 28th will automatically be enterred into a drawing for a Hopkins Helmet. The winner will be announced at camp. The prize will be awarded the first day of camp. High School Session: TBD daily. High School session will be run as collegiate practice sessions with intense, position specific instruction. Participants must be in grades 9 to 12 as of the 2015-2016 school year. Middle School Session: TBD daily. M.S. session is for participants 6th to 8th grade as of the 2015 - 2016 school year. Mountain Biking Adventure 101 - Greensboro Day School
MOUNTAIN BIKING 101 $250 Grades 6+ June 13-17 8:30AM-2:00PM Did you know that within a half mile of the Greensboro Day School campus is access to over 35 miles of the best municipal mountain bike trails in North Carolina!?! Looking to build on a successful first year at the 2015 GDS summer camp , we are back for even more fun for 2016 with two sessions available! [MTB 101 June 13-17 and MTB 201 July 25-29] For a full week, your child will get the opportunity to safely explore our amazing local Greensboro mountain bike trails while also learning basic mountain bike repair and maintenance. Instruction will be provided from highly experienced local bike shop mechanics combined with skills instruction and guided rides from certified International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) guides. This camp will split time between instruction, skills sessions and most importantly bike riding! All your child needs is a bike in good working condition with knobby tires and a helmet.
