Sir Isaac Newton never had this much fun! Campers will be immersed into our toy makers workshop as they construct and take home several different toy projects during the week. Each project will teach an important physical property. Sample Projects: Pocket Rocket, Sponge-ball Slingshot, Marshmallow Shooter, Snap Circuit Board. Embark on a new and fun learning adventure with Griffin Camps Enrichment Classes. Our offerings for this week: Session 1: Make it & Take it (9:00 AM- 12:00 PM) In this handson, fun, and exciting program, you will discover how amazing science is. You will make and take home a wide assortment of toys designed to teach you science concepts in a handson way. Bugs, Spiders, and Critters What is a bug? Whats the difference between a spider, and insect, or a millipede? Campers will learn about the differences between the various creepy crawlies in our own backyards! Session 2: Make it & Take it (continued) Refer to description in Session One. Creative Collaging This isnt just any old collaging class. Young artists will use a variety of different materials to make collages. Exploring concepts of depth, texture, color, and mosaic, this camp is bound to cover our week with adventure. Improve your skills while having a great camp experience. We will teach the fundamental skills of basketball and provide self-help drills. Each camper will be given the tools to improve on their own. Through this quality instruction, all campers will improve and gain self-confidence in themselves. Finally, campers will be given the opportunity to meet new friends and have fun! Bring a peanut free bag lunch daily, swim gear and water bottle. Group will swim at Reynolds Pool during the last hour of camp.
