I have very fond memories of my own summer camp experiences and wanted my daughters to build their own memories. Little did I know they would be so overjoyed to go to Hidden Valley. Outland Studios Kid Day Camp - Cambridge Springs, PA
Session begins July 11th and ends July 14th from 9 am - noon every day with a final gallery show just for the kids on July 15th at 4pm. Outland Studios kids art day camp! We will explore all the possibilities of the art world in fun and exciting ways. Have your child come and learn about different art mediums and explore their expressive side. Activities will include: Making a Camp Totem Pole (crafting) Exploring the World of Painting ( Acrylic, watercolor, etc) 3D Art (earthen ware and experimental mediums) Art in Nature (Sketching and an outdoor hike) and a Final Mural Piece to be displayed with all of their other work from the week in a Kids Exclusive Gallery Show on the 15th! All kids participating will receive a mixed medium art tablet, charcoal pencil and eraser sets, a paint brush and a kit to keep all of their supplies in! All supplies to create their pieces are provided by Outland Studios. Parents are more than welcome to stay and help or watch their children grow! Swim, Tennis and Flag Football Camp - Community Services Department - City of Palo Alto
Please sign up early for our popular tennis, flag football & swim camps held at Palo Altos Rinconada Park and Pool. Participants start each day with a tennis lesson 10-11:30am from the staff of Tennis program. Following tennis, the participates will eat with swim staff to eat from 11;30 am until 12:30 pm in the Rinconada Park. Following lunch the participates will head out to the field to engage in flag football from 12:30-2:30 pm with the Skyhawks coaching staff. After Skyhawks flag football, the participants will head over to the Rinconada Pool where they will enjoy swimming lessons, water games and be supervised by our lifeguards. Cost includes tennis lessons, soccer lessons, entrance to recreation swim, and supervision. Participants should bring a bag lunch, tennis racket, bathing suit, sunscreen, comfortable shoes and a towel each day. Ages 8-12. Pre and Post Care will be available before and after this camp. St. Davids Chess Program - St. Davids School
Sign up for the chess program at school. Students will learn chess fundamentals and strategies that enhance learning skills and critical thinking through chess. We will build confidence and have the options to compete against other local school. Novice students and experienced players are encouraged to sign up as we will have two levels. This chess coach has been teaching chess with exuberance for over 20 years. Kids love his creative style and methods to improve at chess. His students have achieved noted success at local, state, and national chess events. Hector is a Class A United State Chess Federation Player. He looks forward to meeting the Saint Davids chess team players and start getting everyone ready for competition! (11-13) Explore the outdoors through hands on nature activities and fun filled outdoor recreation. Your childs week will be split between nature activities like wilderness survival classes, orienteering, GPS skills, and other nature lessons AND outdoor recreation like hiking, caving, water sports (canoeing, kayaking and stand up paddleboarding) and indoor rock climbing. Students will learn the fine art of comedic acting in these humorous and fun short scenes. Getting to choose from a variety of short skits, the performers will learn about comic timing and delivery as they rehearse for a final presentation. INSTRUCTOR JOHN WALDRON received his BFA in theatre from Virginia Commonwealth University. As an actor, director, and instructor, he has been working in the region for over 20 years. He has directed shows at Aldersgate and MVCCT. John can be seen in the motion picture Talk To Me starring Don Cheadle and was featured on Investigative Discovery show Who The Bleep!.
