2016 Teen Safe Driving Camp - Forsyth, GA
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office, in cooperation with the Georgia Public Safety Training Center, will be holding the 9th annual Safe Driving Camp for ages 15-17. The one day camp will teach new drivers about the consequences of distracted driving, the dangers of driving impaired, tips for defensive driving, skid recovery techniques, safety at railroad crossings, and demonstrate important vehicle maintenance practices. The camp will take place at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center from 9:00am until 4:30pm on Saturday, July 23, 2016. Anyone wishing to attend must complete the application and return it to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office either in person or by mail. Deadline for applications is Friday, July 01, 2016. Applications may be picked up at the Monroe County Sheriff's Office during normal business hours. Space is limited.

Create amazing "green" artwork of all colors from an exciting variety of art materials in the TPS Creative Craft Laboratory! Experiment with new techniques to recycle, upcycle, and decorate with items that would otherwise be discarded. Each day, campers will explore different media and learn new art-making skills, with time to work on guided and independent projects. Draw, paint, sculpt, sew, and design trash into practical, beautiful art treasures in this week of creative fun! Early drop off is available at no additional cost from 8:00am-9:00am. We will also generate advanced equipment and costumes to accompany our characters with various arts and crafts materials.
