Jump, Jive, & Dance - Carolina Day School
5, 6, 7, 8! This camp is all about creative movement in a playful camp environment. If you ever wanted to find out what dance is all about or if you already enjoy it, you will love what we will do together this week. We will concentrate on the study of ballet, creative movement, jazz, and hip-hop dancing. Dance, music, creative expression, and lots of fun will all be a part of our time together. CAMP DETAILS Musical Theater: Featuring Songs from The Lion King Disneys Broadway musical, The Lion King, is one of the biggest and most beloved theater shows of all time. And theres no question why. Join us as we not only sing and dance through songs like I Just Cant Wait to Be King and Hakuna Matata, but we will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively to bring Pride Rock to life! Campers will work with professional teaching artist to find creative ways to capture the essence of these animals and characters through puppet making, costume building and other elements of design. An informal performance will culminate this ensemble-building experience. Robotics Vehicles - College Prep Middle
Robotics Vehicles – (6th - 8th Grade) Students will build Vehicles using Mindstorms robotics equipment. Students will advance on their programming skills and manipulate the Vehicles with coding on a laptop. There is a limit to 16 children for the class. The curriculum for the Robotics Club is different for each quarter, allowing for new material to be added per quarter. But the different curriculum also allows for new students to join in without having had previous Robotics experience. Students do not need to bring anything to the Club. SC2016: Shark Pups Week: Even Chompers Start Out Small - Sanibel Flagship Campus
For campers age 4-6. Sharks are either born from eggs or their mom has them. But however theyre born, theyre on their own as soon as theyre out in the water. That means theyve got teeth and fins and they can swim and they have to catch food. Baby Shark, go get ‘em! What does a little shark eat? Where do they find food? How big are they? Lets see. And did you know sharks have really strange sand papery skin? Youll see why. Were going to pretend were shark pups and make our own shark fins! Come fin around in the water with us! We dont bite!
