My daughter is 13 and enjoyed this camp. The camp encourages community service for children entering grades 7–10. The goal of this camp is to raise youth to become responsible adults. Creative Kids Drop-In Winter Culinary Camp
Our 3rd day of camp, the students will prepare some fun and festive appitizers perfect for New Year's Eve! They will get to take home a selction to share with family and friends while ringing in the new year. Kid-friendly favorites such as pigs in a blanket, meatballs, cheese straws, and homemade ranch dip for veggies. Parents are welcome to stay or drop off. Learning areas: history, social studies, science, math, kitchen safety. Limit: 10 students Suggested ages: 6+ (younger are welcome with adult helper present) Warning: not an allergy-free event! Nuts will be present as well as wheat. Cost: $15 per child, per class.
Kid's Summer MMA Camp - Decatur, AL
The Camp will take place July 11-15 from 10am-1pm each day, and the cost is $100 per child and is intended for children ages 6-12. We will be fully staffed with experienced instructors ready to help your child have an incredible Martial Arts experience. Camp includes: -- 15 hours of training! -- Certificate of Completion! -- An opportunity to earn a Belt Stripe in our Martial Arts program! -- First month of Academy enrollment FREE (for new members)! -- A light lunch is included each day ATTIRE: Clean shorts and t-shirt or rashguard with finger and toe nails trimmed. Pants and tank tops will not be allowed. GOAL: To safely introduce new students to Martial Arts and the 10th Planet Decatur System of self-defense. Polish and expand the skills of students with previous experience. Improve conditioning, as well as listening skills. Empower and inspire participants to be assertive and confident and help prepare them for the new school year including how to deal with bullying, from preventing to properly engaging if necessary. Shine your tiaras, stretch your tiptoes and dust off your tutus. Spend the week learning dances and stories about your favorite Princesses! Crafts will be made each day and our week will end with a Princess Tea Party (with all the dancers dressed as their favorite princess or prince, of course!) and an informal showing of our Princess Dance for friends and family! Princes are welcome too! Materials: A separate fee of $10 is payable to the instructor on the first day of camp for arts & craft materials. Attire: Leotard, tights, and ballet shoes (girls); shorts, T-shirts, and ballet shoes or socks (boys). Bring a princess dress, prince attire, or costume on the last day of camp.
