Day Camp 4 - Temple University
This camp session (for students entering grades 6-12) will be staffed by the Temple football coaches as well as current Temple football players. The passion our coaches have for the game will be seen in how they coach your child, using the same intensity and detail they use with our players. Proper technique and safety will be taught to each player attending the camp. The opportunity to work with our players and coaches will give you the best value and experience of any camp you attend! Reading & Reacting Camp - Jay Lively Ice Arena
Reading & Reacting Camp Reading and reacting is one of the most important aspects of the game of hockey. Each player must be able to read what is happening, anticipate correctly, and react properly by moving to the appropriate space to make the play or support their teammates in advance of the puck. As we sat, it is much easier to anticipate where the puck will be, and go to a particular point in the rink ahead of it, than it is to chase it around. In this camp, we will cover the correct diagnosis, and response needed, for game situations such as cycling, odd man rushes (both for and against), power play and penalty kill, movement through the neutral zone, defensive zone coverage, offensive zone coverage, face offs, playing away from the puck, offensive and defensive play at the puck, back-checking and fore-checking. ATTENTION GOALTENDERS - Every RMHS camp will offer professional goaltending instruction from one of our professional goaltending coaches. We limit theses spots to four goaltenders per group. 2005 Mariners ($315 for 2 weeks, Members) - Nantucket Yacht Club
Formerly Beginner Sailing. Please choose 2 weeks minimum. This class is taught in Rhodes 19s, Capri 14s, and Optimists. Mariners is designed to give the sailor a strong fundamental base of sailing skills such as rigging, tacking, gybing, sail trim, hiking, and some advanced boat handling. The overall goal is to make the sailor comfortable on the water in varying conditions, while eventually becoming proficient sailing alone in the Opti. Inside the Mariners class, we typically divide into three color groups: Forest Green (Novice), Lime Green (Intermediate Mariner), and Army Green(Advanced Mariner). As the child improves, they will advance through the groups until they are ready for Whalers. *Please note that the 2005 Mariner class is for those with a birthdate of 2005 or earlier. 508-228-1400
