Critter Capers Mini-Camp AM - Blue Jay Point County Park
Description: Have a blast while exploring the fields, forests, and streams at Blue Jay Point. We will learn about mammals, insects, reptiles and amphibians as we hike, do crafts, and play games. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Critter Capers is a three-day half-day mini-camp at Blue Jay Point County Park for children ages 6-8. All participants should wear play clothes, closed-toe shoes (like sneakers or day hikers) and bring weather appropriate outerwear to each camp session. Prepare for each camp day by bringing a filled water bottle, a simple snack and applying your favorite sunscreen and bug spray. Dribbling & Passing - St. Teresas (4-6y) - St. Teresas Academy
This is a recreational level camp open to boys and girls 4-14 years old. Players will improve their technical abilities with the soccer ball through practicing proper mechanics of dribbling, passing and receiving. Dribbling & passing reside at the core of technical progression in order to become a skilled and intelligent player. After completion of the Dribbling & Passing camp, we recommend progressing to the Attacking & Defending camp. Flower Power Art Camp with Kidcreate Studio - Hopkins Campus
Blossom into some creative art fun! Using several different art processes, your young artist will create larger than life flowers, hotels for fairies, garden stepping stones, a butterfly bath and more. We will experiment with papier mâché, three dimensional sculpture and mixed media painting. The childrens imaginations will grow wild as they find their flower power. Preschooler & Pal - Spiva Center for the Arts
Share art with your very young artist as we explore painting, drawing, water resist, sculpture and building creativity through reading and art. Adult must stay with student. Space is limited to 8 students, so register early. Note: No class March 23 (417) 623-0183

Period 4 - Woodworking - NBJH Room 116
Incoming 7th and 8th Graders will learn the basic usage and safety of some hand tools, power tools and machinery (routers, drill press, scroll saw, spindle sander, disc sander, palm sander, cordless drill, lathe). All activities will be demonstrated and supervised by Mr. Caris, the current Woodworking teacher at NBJH. Students will choose a project from a list based on their experience. The list will be sent home in the FIRST week of the course. Examples include a cutting board, wood bowl, routed sign, garden tray, gumball machine, and bag toss game.
