Our goal at Oakhill Summer Days is to create a summer camp where every child can find multiple camps of interest. As campers grow from summer to summer, so will Oakhill Summer Days. We want to help children express their unique qualities that define who they are. From Toddler through Middle School, we have developed a summer program to help us accomplish this goal. Camp themes range from academics, art, all types of enrichment, and sports. Our camp spans over nine weeks during the summer. This time span allows campers ample time to fully explore Oakhill Summer Days. Half day and full day options are available, along with extended care programs to make our hours convenient for parents work schedules. Teen Sewing Camp: Staple Dress - Lake Charles, LA
The summer is the perfect time for your teen to learn how to sew clothes! The Staple Dress is a fun, beginner first clothing project. In this workshop, we will teach your teen how to read and cut a pattern, and sew a dress of their very own! A basic knowledge of sewing is required for this class. 5) Yellow Strikers - Bolles San Jose Campus
Our "Yellow Strikers" class is designed for those players who are actively competing. Typically, this includes high school varsity and/or ranked players. Players will refine technical form, physical fitness and mental toughness to prepare for advanced level competition. Summer Slide - Middle School
Are you concerned that your child may develop a case of summer slide or think year round school is an intelligent idea? This two-week program will allow your child to prepare for success in the following school year. The course is taught by Sandra Schwartz, who holds a Bachelors in Education with a minor in Mathematics and an M.Ed., and has been working in the North Merrick UFSD since 2008. Sandra currently teaches Computer and Technology at Camp Avenue School. Students are invited to take part in a comprehensive class designed to sharpen their skills by offering an ideal balance of instruction in math and creative writing to assist students in mastering these subjects. Students practice their math skills and learn new ones while having fun by engaging in skill building and problem-solving math games and activities. Our morning program lasts from 9am to 12pm, and includes programs for Jellyfish (ages 4-5), Rockfish (ages 6-8) and Blue Crabs (ages 9-12). The morning session typically consists of three 45-60 minute activities that will be exciting and engaging for your children. During each of these time slots we endeavor to provide options for your child, enabling them to do what they like most and empowering them to have the most fun with their day. Activities throughout the day are structured around three main themes including: OUTDOORS (e.g., nature hikes, sailing, water sports, swim skills, kayaking, survival skills), ARTS (e.g., crafts, indian art, tie dyes) and GAMES (e.g., tennis, basketball, dodgeball, beach challenges).
