Epidemiology: Disease Investigation - NCSSM Durham Campus
So long as humans have existed on this planet, microbes have coexisted with us. Theyve lived in our bodies and thrived in the environment, posing a silent and constant threat. Theyve caused fevers and panic, helped with digestion and immunity. In this introductory course in human microbial disease, students will be introduced to the impact that various microbes have had in our lives. Students will learn the principles and methods of disease investigation: investigating patterns of illness in populations, identifying infectious microbes by visual assessment, mode of infection, and symptoms. High School Team Camp - Yum Center
High school team camp is designed to prepare teams before entering the high school season. Each team will compete in skill training & scrimmages throughout the camp. Camp is open to every high school team and player. Registration will begin at 10:00am on July 10th at Threkheld Hall. The first session will begin at 1:00p on July 11th. The last day (July 13th) of camp will end at 12:00p. HIGH SCHOOL FEE-$250 U of L provides a head coach to train your team for the duration of camp. This fee allows one high school coach to accompany the team with meals & lodging included. The school fee is non-refundable & due by May 15th to secure a spot for your team. This fee is separate & does not go towards the camper fees.
