The Summer Camp Show @ Wonderland Ballroom - Washington, DC
The Summer Camp Show is back. There's no better time to hang on to that summer camp feeling than September. The Summer Camp Show is a comedy show lampooning summer camp and other childhood tropes. Shoot to Score Hockey and the Texas Junior Stars will be hosting the Battle Camp giving players a great opportunity to compete with and against some of the top players in their age group. Showcase your abilities and compete level to the Junior Stars coaching staff through high tempo drills, small area battles, and game like situations. Prerequisite: Passed Basic 5. This camp will teach skaters how to express emotion and exhibit true artistry on the ice, and also provide an exciting performance opportunity. Art for Home Schooled Students - Location: Center for The Creative Arts
New students welcomed! Art classes for home-school students continues with instruction intended to guide new art students while challenging returning students to build on their skills. Students will split the time between explorations in Realistic Drawing and Painting and 3/D Art and Pottery. The group will be divided by age dependent on the number of students. This summer camp adventure starts with creative recycled art lessons in the morning and nature adventures in the afternoon. Building a Light-Controlled Synthesizer - MacRostie Art Center
Work with composer, instrument builder, and educator, Troy Rogers to create a light-controlled synthesizer. Can be taken individually, or in conjunction with the Musical Robots workshop. All materials provided by instructor: each student leaves with a functioning light-controlled synthesizer they built during the workshop.
