Teen Community Emergency Response Team Camp - Peachtree City, GA
The Peachtree City Police Department will be hosting a Teen Community Emergency Response Team (TEEN CERT) camp beginning June 13th, 2016. The classes will be held Monday through Friday of that week ending on June 17th. The classes will start at 0800 and end at 1230 each day. The camp will be held in the training room at the Police Station. The TEEN CERT Program educates young adults about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Prospective candidates must be between 13 and 17 years of age at the time of registration and a resident of Georgia. Applicants will be required to complete an enrollment form and applicable waivers. The application and waivers must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. A local check will be conducted to determine the background of the participants as a pre-condition to acceptance into the program. Junior Summer Sports Camp - The Club at Savannah Harbor
Come and have some fun at our Junior Golf and Sports camps this summer! The 5-day camp includes a healthy snack & beverages, prizes and awards. All juniors will also receive a Free Savannah Harbor golf hat! The golf days are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Tuesday and Thursday the kids will learn tennis and go over to the Westin hotel for fun activities such as swimming, live crab races and arts & crafts. Here is a great opportunity for boys and girls to learn new basketball skills and improve on existing skills, all while getting a workout. Camp Director, Sean Birdsong, has been around the game of basketball for most of his life.
