For youth that: * Want to build their peace-making and conflict resolution skills! * Are looking for a fun and meaningful way to spend their winter break! * Are interested in video-making! Peace Ed's Teen Leaders for Diversity/PeaceCasters: Making Media that Matters Winter Camp may be for them! Tuesday, December 27 - Friday, December 30, 9 am - 4 pm Registration Now Open! Some scholarship support available. Email to inquire. Our PeaceCasters/Teen Leaders for Diversity camps are divided between exploring and deepening the basic skills around affirmation, communication and cooperation that are core to Peace Ed's work and the fundamental skills of digital video-making. During this four-day camp for 12 - 17 year olds we will create short videos about youth and peacemakers in our community who are helping to create a better world. The PeaceCasters camp is designed to build skills while also providing a fun experience. Activities will include plenty of cooperative games and visits from some special guests such as youth activists and local experts from the world of videography and filmmaking. Mixed Metaphor (Elementary School) - School of Visual Concepts
In this mixed-genre class, students have the chance to combine poetry, fiction and comics to tell epic stories about themselves and their world. They will explore new literary techniques and poetic forms while developing skills in written, oral, and visual storytelling. Students will experience all stages of the writing process—writing, revising, and sharing—ending with a celebration for family and friends. These projects will ROCK your childs world after the lights go out at night. You guessed it, all the projects we create in this camp will glow-in-the-dark! How cool is that? We will be working with a variety of different art supplies including clay, paint and other luminescent materials to create masterpieces your child will be ready to show off in the dark! Please pack a nut free snack and a beverage for your child. LOCATION Sandcastle Park Building at 3060 Patton Road

This is camp for those who want not just to have an experience, but to make an experience. We bring out the leadership skills in all our campers and help you create a unique week of camp. You will participate in all the Fowler has to offer and gain some of the skills that our staff has learned. If you are in 10th-12th grade, participation in LEAD also allows you to apply to come as a Student Working in Ministry (SWiM) and use your newly honed skills alongside of the Fowler staff. Students need to fill out a SWiM application which can be found on the Fowler website. Weeks will be assigned on a first come - first served basis. 518-631-6789
