This is day camp for beginners to advanced level players. The camp is for individuals as well as teams. It is for boys and girls ages 5-14 * ( a 14 year old entering the 9th grade ) The camp offers free early drop off beginning at 8:00 am everyday. (732) 713-1712
Specialty Basketball Camp - NHTI, Concords Community College
23rd annual Boys and Girls Grade 5-11 basketball camp traditional style with day, extended or overnighth options Camp begins on Sunday with check-in and registration from 12-1. Camp starts for all campers at 1:15. Day Campers should be at the camp on Sunday from 12-5. Monday - Thursday from 8-5. Camp ends for all campers on Thursday at 4:15 pm. The Specialty Basketball Camp was created in response to the need for a more disciplined learning program in the New England area. This camp is an intense session of teaching and practicing the game of basketball. Our camp emphasizes skills, preparation, and traditional aspects with our Positive Teaching Style. Experienced instructors will build on each players foundation of knowledge and skill and introduce our Advanced Techniques to play the game. Our week long programs aboard the Capt. George seek to inspire nature connection through a maritime lens. Well explore the coastal ecology of Ipswich Bay and the Gulf of Maine each day, and carefully plan our days according to observed weather, tide and sea conditions. Above all else, we focus on keeping kids safe, warm (or cool!), and happy. We always depart the dock with a plan, and always change the plan as the day unfolds, as Mother Ocean and Mother Nature always leads. When she offers up something unexpected--a pod of dolphins frolicking across our path, feeding gannets, hungry bluefish and mackerel--we are very willing to change plans to make for the best experience possible. Get outside and on the water using a power boat, kayaks, and your feet while participating in Geocaching, a real life treasure hunt that uses a GPS! Join a NESS scientist as we learn about navigation on land and sea, make an item to let other geocachers know weve discovered a particular treasure, and go geocaching in a variety of locations and ecosystems. The Dance Academy Designed to serve the needs of the committed and focused student, 4 to 18 years old, who is seeking to expand their dance vocabulary and dramatically improve their technique. The Academy is calling you! With an emphasis on Classical Ballet and Modern Dance, the Academy students follow a schedule designed by the directors that will also include, depending on level, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop and African Dance. Voice, and Art classes are also offered in rotation. Multi-day training and a comprehensive vocabulary are necessary for any artist to achieve success in the dance world. Compare this with the world of Sports: Kobe, LeBron, Jordan, and all of the Gods of Basketball train every day. We have also seen remarkable results in academic achievement as a result of the character education dance training instills. Young people of NCA learn to manage their time.
