Craig Ranch Sports Camp Week 1 - Cooper Fitness Center at Craig Ranch
This camp is a joint venture between Cooper Fitness Center at Craig Ranch and the TPC at Craig Ranch. Brad Ott will utilize his 20+ years of golf training experience to teach children ages 7-16 the basics of golf. Fundamental learning will focus on full-swing (wedges, irons, and woods) and short game (putting, chipping, pitching, and bunker play). Campers will then move on to tennis under the guidance of Head Tennis Pro, Andrew Kaikai and his assistant. This class will lead players in drills to help their general strokes. This class is designed to introduce beginners to the game and improve playing ability through drills, activities, and fun games. After lunch, the campers will jump in Coopers Olympic-sized pool under the direction of Head Swim Pro, Patrick Kennedy and Swim Coach, Mike Howes. This class will serve as an introduction to teach your child the fundamentals or swimming through drills, activities, and fun games. Living Water - Dirksen Nature Park
Search for whats living just below the surface of our river, learn to fish, then put your knowledge to action with a full day of fishing.Search for whats living just below the surface of our rivers and creeks while building and appreciation for all the creatures, big and small, that call the water home. Get a chance to swim with otters, discover beaver dams, and search for crawdads. All camps hosted at Dirksen also include a full day of paddling on the Tualatin River with experienced river guides. Discover the secrets of our finned ocean friends - whales, seals, and more! Each day will bring new adventures and opportunities to experience marine mammals in our amazing Monterey Bay Sanctuary: learn field identification skills aboard a whale watching vessel; study the unique adaptations sea lions, seals and otters have to survive life in the sea; practice surfing like a dolphin! Application deadline is April 15. Entering 7th grade? Join a group of inquisitive girls on the path to discovery and hands-on engineering who want to change the way the world works. Work in teams with a community customer to create a plan for solving a real problem—emphasizing the social context of engineering design. Adventure Tennis Camp - Off Site Location
Tennis 3.5 hours per day Adventure 2.5 hours per day During the first part of the day, campers join our regular tennis camp and have lunch. Children will be divided by level and develop tennis strokes, rallying skills, and age appropriate competitive play. Campers learn teamwork, make friends and enjoy fun games like Angry Birds Tennis, Skyball, and Big Kahuna. All camps feature Higgins Bucks, Water Fun Day (no swimming) and the Higgins Bucks Store where children buy prizes on Fridays. In the afternoons we set out on an Adventure!
