Children ages 6 and up, are invited to share their favorite stories with our furry friends while they await adoption during Telling Tails Story Time. This free hour of storytelling helps our cats practice their people skills, while students grow more confident in their reading skills. It’s a win-win, and totally adorable! AHS will have a selection of books on hand, but kids are welcome to bring their own. Telling Tails Story Time is offered one Saturday a month at the Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion. SpringBreak MINI Sewing Camp this year will be March 8th and 9th from 8:00-11:30 am and includes ALL Supplies and snacks! Just bring your machine! If you don't have one you can rent one for $10 total for both days. (I can also give you suggestions on great machines that don't break your budget) Summer Camps - First Camp begins June 6th and then there are many more during the summer! Soccer Skill Training-Italian Academy Style - Spencer Rockman Center
The Soccer Italian Style teaching methods are used in the professional academy technical and tactical training programs of the Italian Serie A. They have been developed by Mirko Mazzantini "ACF Fiorentina Academy Coach" and Simone Bombardieri "Empoli FC Academy Coach". Soccer Italian Style Coaching Team Mirko Mazzantini "ACF Fiorentina Academy Coach" Mirko Mazzantini coached for Empoli FC for in 10 years, at almost all the main categories of the academy level. Mini-Basketball Camp meets from 10:30a.m.-11:30a.m. Monday through Thursday and can be taken alone or combined with Recreation Camp. It is open to students entering grades 2-8 with little or no previous Basketball experience. It can be taken alone or combined with Recreation Camp. 773-881-6700
Elite Camp - University of Nebraska
This camp is designed to be an intense camp for in-going grades 6th-12th who wish to prepare themselves for high school, college or beyond. Fundamental skill development on offense, defense and conditioning principles for all positions on the floor will be stressed. Both individual and team play development will be improved by attending this camp. Many of the same drills and techniques used by Coach Yori and her staff at Nebraska will be taught. Elite Camp begins in the evening of June 1 at 7:00pm. Registration for overnight campers will begin at 5:45pm and Commuter Campers at 6:30pm. The camp runs all day on June 2-3 and concludes at 4:00pm on June 3. If your camper is also registered for Skills Camp on June 1, there will be a dinner break and the Elite Session will begin at 7:00pm. Our most unique camp, and a staff favorite! The spiritual focus of this camp is communing with God through His creation. Campers will sleep "outdoors" in our enclosed yurts and cook two meals a day over an open fire. Worship under the stars nightly. No previous camping experience required! Additional activities: High and low ropes courses, rock wall, canoeing for, swimming, archery. 337-738-4218
Science Beach Camp Week 2 - Roundhouse Aquarium
Time: 9am-12pm Ages: 4-10 **pick up and drop off will be on 11th St and Manhattan Ave, near Beckers. There is a city event at the pier this week, so please leave extra time to get through traffic. *snacks provided *t-shirt included Activities may include: digging for sand crabs, playing in the waves, dissecting squid, learning about sharks, looking at plankton using a microscope, building sand sculptures, coke explosions, making crafts, building a boat, doing experiments, touching live animals, shooting a lemon cannon, playing beach games, and more! *A schedule of what activities will be done each day is available on our website: / Important Information: No refunds or credit without 2 business days notice for cancellation of any class -10% charge for all other cancellations -$10 charge for all class scheduling changes -There is a $10 charge per child for each 15 minutes a guardian is late for pick up -CPR/First aid certified staff present at all camps -All water activities done in front of LA county lifeguard tower -Average 3 campers per counselor, Maximum of 5 campers per counselor 310-379-8117
