Under the Lights Lancers Youth Football Skills Camp! - Lake Elsinore,
2 Day Event, Come Play Under the Lights! -This is a non-contact camp, designed to put players (boys and girls, ages 5-14) through the paces of most positions, and prepare them for the upcoming season. Players will rotate from station to station as they learn valuable techniques and fundamentals from the Lakeside High School Football Coaching Staff. Come play under the lights and Experience how it feels to play like a Lakeside Lancer under the big lights! When: June 17, 2016 from 5 pm – 8 pm June 18, 2016 from 8 am - 12 pm Where: Lakeside High School Stadium Cost: $30 for both days, at the gate sign ups registration starts at 4 pm. Materials Science - Ensworth High School
How does stuff break? To answer this question, students investigate how stuff is made and in doing so, will break stuff! Destructive and nondestructive tests will be conducted to investigate catastrophic failures such as bridge collapse, airplane structural failure, containers that leak, pipes that burst, and electrical failures. Advances in materials are at the core of significant technological advances, and we are in a materials revolution today! Students experience a hands-on introduction to materials science, engineering, and technology, joining researchers who push boundaries further than ever before, using biology, chemistry and physics to expand our technological frontiers. Minimum 10 students. PREREQUISITE: prerequisite Science Levels 1 and 2 CREDIT: Semester upper course credit in Science 615-383-0661

TERRIFIC SCIENTIFIC CAMP (SPRING BREAK) - Ben Robertson Community Center
Explore all that science has to offer! This camp is full STEAM ahead -Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math- designed to inspire future innovators! Terrific Scientific aims to SPARK the excitement of young people, for SCIENCE, in a setting that allows them to explore, question, and experiment with fascinating facts, projects and activities. All lessons are designed to help with the development of scientific process skills such as observing, classifying, comparing, measuring, critical thinking, predicting, hypothesizing, sequencing and experimentation. Materials: A separate fee of $20 is payable to the instructor on the first day of camp. Participants should bring a brown bag lunch, beverage and snack each day. Attire: Wear old/play clothes.
