For children ages U6-U7, our camps will introduce and develop your childs love of soccer through a sequence of dribbling, shooting, balance, running, jumping, and movement educations drills along with a variety of fun-filled games. Your child will learn how to follow direction and improve their social skills by connecting with their peers and instructors. For children ages U8-U10, our camps will reinforce proper technique and develops players athletic abilities through a sequence of lifting & juggling, eye-foot coordination, running with the ball, passing, receiving, moves while dribbling, and heading & crossing drills. Your child will learn how to dominate the ball by having the correct body mechanics. Player development is achieved with game-like activities and is enjoyed by all players. In addition, if your child is preparing to play for a recreation or club team; this program will institute the fundamental soccer skills required for the next level of competition. For players ages U11-U14 and U15-U19, our camps allow the developing player to be competent in all aspects of basic techniques through a sequence of educational movement and execution. I went to Big Lake Youth Camp when I was younger and I always remembered it being the best part of my summer vacation. Now I send my son and he says the same thing. The counselors are super friendly and always helpful to my son. He has made so many new friendships that he’ll keep for many years. SCENE STUDY (1.5 Hours) FRI - Loudoun Arts Center
Using scenes from some of the leading voices in contemporary theatre, students will learn how to approach performing in 2-3 person scenes. Studies will include dramaturgical research, scoring the script, scene coaching, and in-class performances with feedback. This course requires approximately 3 hours of rehearsal with an assigned scene partner(s) prior to each class. Scene Study culminates in a final performance. 703-444-5888
Group Acoustic Guitar at Kenwood Station - Kenwood Station Elementary School
Learn the basics in a fun and supportive setting. This award-winning program is designed for use in a group/classroom environment. Students will play as an ensemble. Instructors: Derek Harris 502-241-6018
Triple Threat Musical Theater (July 5) - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
Acting, singing, and dancing are all aspects of musical theatre, master them all, and you become a triple threat. This camp will help build these talents through the firsthand experience of performing in a musical. This firsthand experience will provide campers with the knowledge they need to participate in a theatrical production at their school or in the community and allow your child to get ahead of their performing peers. Under the direction of St. Johns Varsity Basketball Coach Frank Wickes, campers, whether beginning or with years of experience, will benefit from individual instruction to learn and improve both basic and advanced skill of the game. Mountainside Adventures 1 - Mohonk Preserve Visitor Center
With the Mohonk Preserve and Mohonk Mountain House land as the arenas for exploration, Mountainside Adventures allows campers to have fun while hiking to new and exciting destinations each day. Campers will focus on developing their problem-solving skills through exciting team challenges and spend their days creating their own adventures along the trail. Days will be active with quiet time at the end of each day for reflection, be it sitting on a log in the forest or within the recess of a rock crevice. Monday through Friday, 9am-3pm (plus 1 exciting overnight) 845-255-0919
