This year, a new vocal component has been added to the camp! Vocalists will learn to sing with an ensemble, combo and develop jazz singing skills. Special lessons will be available such as style, interpretation, vocal technique, introduction to music theory, scat singing and more. Plus, top vocalists will be featured with the jazz combos at JazzFest! Space is limited for vocalists! Vocal applicants will have to audition before final acceptance Audition Criteria: 1. A standard jazz tune (Fly Me to the Moon, Stormy Weather, etc.); please bring a copy of the sheet music for the accompanist 2. Auditionees will be required to perform range and tonal memory tests. 3. Auditions may take place in person on the campus of Augustana University with Dr. Russell Svenningsen, by submitting a private YouTube, or audition via Skype. 4. My daughter wouldn't miss going to this Lutheran camp!
This Lutheran Bible Camp is one of the oldest summer camps in America. It was founded in 1926, and is my daughter’s favorite camp. She has fun meeting other youth while strengthening her faith. She also enjoys swimming, arts and crafts and singing around the camp fire. We make sure to plan other summer activities around this summer camp time, so she won't have to miss going to camp.

BRING YOUR YOUTH GROUP ... WE'LL DO THE REST! Just as winter thaws and gives way to spring, a winter retreat for youth groups is offered to challenge your youth to remain strong in their faith and continue to turn to Jesus Christ for direction and comfort in the middle of the school year. An awesome speaker and terrific worship band will help make this weekend spectacular. Participating youth groups must provide chaperones for this retreat. Register by December 31, 2015 to receive a free t-shirt. After this date, t-shirts may be ordered.

Do you love learning about plants, animals, and the natural world? Do you want a chance to get outside, play, and explore this summer? Our nature camp will foster a personal connection to the natural world as we become naturalists and adventures fro the week!
