Alabama Summer Camps
Alabama has different summer camps available for families with children and teenagers alike. The camps located by lakes are fairly popular among the people in this state. These camps provide recreational activities including a double water slide and zip-line tour. Oriented by families and volunteers, these camps provide lodging with the necessary amenities as well. Another great residential camp and retreat center hosts several organizational summer camps in their facilities. They provide seven lodges which can host 14-330 people at a time. This popular retreat area has hiking trails, a lake for fishing, and / or canoeing, as well as grass fields to play different field games such as soccer or football. They also have swimming pools which are available for use during the summer months. There are also two camps which are specifically made for girls, one is by the river, and the other is along the mountainside.
