This Boy Scout Ranch Camp was established in 1983. My 14 year old son would not miss signing up for this summer camp. Nestled in over 200 miles of rugged country it is the perfect place to camp and explore nature. Our son liked the diverse topography of the land. A reading and writing camp designed for 3rd – 5th grade girls. In a guided reading setting the girls will read and discuss childrens literature that focuses on building girls self-esteem. The curriculum includes a daily writing activity that will focus on grade appropriate writing skills and a creative art activity related to each book we read. We will also spend time outside playing games that will build positive friendship skills. Each day will include a snack, lunch and pool time. DeAnna Huffines graduated from Saint Marys in 1983 from high school and 1985 from College. She then attended Meredith College where she majored in education.
