Just because you're on vacation doesn't mean you have to stop your morning and evening prayers! Actually, our daughter is the one who reminded us of that and it was just one of the wonderful lessons she brought home from her time at Park River. Aside from the bible study which she was really engaged with, her favorite thing was the cast iron cooking lessons. The PowerHouse regional youth conference will return to Camp Mack again this year, providing a weekend of worship, workshops, music, recreation, and more for senior high youth in the Midwest and their advisors. The Church of the Brethren BVS and Workcamp staff will provide leadership for the weekend on the theme "Plug In: to God, each other & the world" based on 3 John 1:13-14. Cost is $80 for youth, $70 for advisors and will go up $10 if you register after October 21. Registration is LIVE at www.manchester.edu/powerhouse. Junior Football 1 - Brigham Young University
This fast-paced, four-day camp is packed with skill development, competition and fun. Instruction begins Monday morning and closes Wednesday afternoon, with sessions each morning and afternoon, making sure you get the best value for your money. Instruction is provided for all facets of the game including passing, running, receiving, blocking, tackling and pass defense. You will receive feedback from your coach each day as you go through drills and scrimmages. Throughout the camp you will have the chance to warm up with past BYU athletes, practice various drills, discuss strategy, and learn professional conditioning basics. Saber Academy: Beginning - The Evergreen School
Learn the code, live the code! Hone your skills! Students will learn techniques to safely wield a saber. The mind, the body, and the spirit will be challenged! Class lessons include meditation, yoga, fencing, and some elements of Parkour. As students learn these skills to have a chance to be chosen by a Knight, one must also craft their own saber. As such, each apprentice will design and build their own saber that is truly theirs to keep. Small power tools and soldering techniques will be taught so students may craft their own personal saber. Before being able to take the Advanced Saber Academy Class, your child should have already completed one of our Beginning Saber Academy classes (formerly known as Jedi Academy). 206-957-1533

Players will receive a starter set of clubs and four days of lessons from a professional golf instructor. This camp runs Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 11 am. Parkers new summer Writing Workshops for students entering grades 10-12 offers students the opportunity to learn, explore, review and practice a variety of writing skills, including grammar, usage and sentence structures. These intensive, one-week workshops will help students fill gaps, develop comfort, and prepare for future classroom writing experiences. These workshops will be taught by members of the Francis Parker English Department Faculty. In the workshop for rising 11th and 12th graders, students will work in a variety of genres including persuasive, analytical, narrative and creative, with a special concentration on grammar/usage and the personal essay.
